iOS 13.4 Hands On
iOS 13.4 was officially released and brought tons of new features to the table. Firstly it was a 1 GB update that brings quite a few new features. Firstly, there is a more toolbar in the mail app and it brings four options that include compose a new email, forward, but now you can easily flag/unflag an email. There is also other bug fixes in the mail app that remove all the inefficiencies that i had. There is also a new “collaboration feature” in iCloud drive. This is somewhat like Google Drive as many people can collaborate on a document at once. You can set the permissions and such. In accessibility, you can improve “Hey Siri” to make it listen when it is in your pocket or face down on a table. In the music app, the lyrics now have three dots before the song starts hovering over the lyrics. The Apple TV app is redesigned and it brings genres to the app. There is also more cellular options in the TV app. In terms of carplay, you can finally use a 3rd party navigation app on the main page. Ex. Waze instead of Maps. There is now the option to have a “Shazam it” feature in Shortcuts and there is some improvements the Health app which allows you to integrate your important health data.
Overall, the update is very smooth and fixes some of the persistent bugs that were there in previous iOS iterations. The battery life completely depends on your usage but overall it seems decent with light to moderate usage.
